Assistant Secretary’s Report I’d
like to express my sincere gratitude to the delegates for electing me FSALC
Assistant Secretary. I look forward to working with everyone on the Executive
Board to continue the progressive agenda of the State Association. FSALC
Treasurer Mike Clark and I will work in concert to insure all finances of the
State Association are detailed accurately with all expenses paid
expeditiously in compliance with all the fiduciary responsibilities required
of the State Association. My
agenda for running for a position on the Executive Board was due to my desire
to become more involved in our legislative struggle. Does Saturday’s off
sound appealing to you? What about Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday? The threat
of five day delivery is front and center on the agenda of Postmaster General
Donahoe. Brothers and Sisters the time for this union to stand tall and stand
strong is now!! Contact your Congressional Representatives ask them to save
Saturday delivery, support H.Res. 137 and H.R. 1351 to restore the over
funding of the USPS Pension and Retiree Health Funds. Ask your steward how
you can donate to COLCPE, sign up for e-activist and become a participant of
Carrier Corps. Make your voices heard, register to vote, attend the next
political rally, write a letter, make that phone call to your respective
representative. The time to get involved is now, save your job, save your
